Sad times have come to my home country – Ukraine. I now live in Australia but you can’t take away one’s Homeland. I do what I can by helping people, sending money, participating in multiple online activities. A single person can do so much. My audience here is English-speaking, therefore, I don’t see any reason to share the pictures of destruction and war – you guys see it all by yourself in the unbiased international media.
This is why I’ve decided to create a post, which summarizes ways to help Ukraine while being away.
Disclaimer: I did my best to vet these websites and accounts. Please do your research prior to sending any money.

Here is what you can do to support Ukraine
As I said, a single person can do so much but combined we become a real power. Every action matters!
Speak up
-
- Use your favourite social media to write a meaningful post. Address it to your MP, Council, President, etc. You may also call one if it is reasonable. Ask them for one of the following:
- Implement some efficient and real sanctions, bans, embargoes. Anything to make them consider if the aggression is worth it
- Provide military assistance in a way acceptable by your country
- Provide financial and humanitarian aid
- Ban propaganda TV, radio, and other channels
- Use your favourite social media to write a meaningful post. Address it to your MP, Council, President, etc. You may also call one if it is reasonable. Ask them for one of the following:
- Report fake and deceitful posts, videos, comments (it does work!)
Show Solidarity
- Join a peaceful rally. Luckily, there are heaps all over the place. In big cities like Sydney, they happen several times a week, sometimes every day. Show up to say that you care. It may mean the whole world to someone. You can find some destinations in the links below. If your country is not there, use Facebook to find your local Ukrainian community.
- Talk to your friends. Ask them to come with you.
- Do not use Russian products. It may seem not as big but the more people do it, the more powerful it becomes.
Share the Verified Information
You may want to share some international reporting agencies like CNN or Reuters but they are typically falling behind a little. In case you want to track Ukrainian news, here are some of them available in English:

How To Send Money
- Bank Transfer. It is easy to send money to Ukraine via a bank transfer if you have full details.
- Card transfer. Most credit/debit cards in Ukraine can accept direct transfers without the need to do a wire transfer with full bank details.
- Western Union. My best choice is this service. Easy to use online and you can send directly using the card number. The transfer fee is very cheap.
- PaySend. https://paysend.com/uk-us/vidpravyty-hroshi/z-ssha-v-ukraina
Thanks for stopping by. I’m sure we will get through! Even if you don’t feel like sending money or reporting accounts, say something. Every kind word matters. It is very hard to be a strong believer at all times. I see people giving up or losing hope and your words may save someone’s hope.
