The Carpathian Mountains are beautiful and diverse. They are mostly grassy with shady valleys, dense forests, rocky ridges, and unpredictable weather.

Ukraine is known for the Carpathian Mountains. It is a big travel destination for lots of people around the world. This place is popular for hiking, camping, skiing, great food, interesting traditions, historical sights, beautiful landscapes, and heaps of other things. I hope this gallery serves as a way for someone to familiarise themselves with the Carpathians, and to keep the fragile natural environment from deforestation.
Hiking in the Carpathians
Hiking and camping are widely popular among locals and tourists. I did a number of hikes with experienced guides, and these memories are among the best moments of my life. There’s nothing else like waking up in the foggy valley somewhere far below your tent. Or hiding from the passing storm sitting on your backpack not far from the ridge. Or eating a bograch soup after a full day of climbing up the peak. I hope, one day I will be able to do the hike with my friends again.

The gallery consists of several areas and hikes all over the mountain range. They are Gorgany, Svydovets, Borzhava, and Pishkonya.
