About Anton

I’ve been into landscape photography for over 11 years now. For me, the most exciting type of photography is landscape photography with its many sub-genres. I go out shooting almost every weekend and later on spend hours in photoshop, editing. Therefore, I’d like to share my passion and knowledge with you and teach you how I see the world, how I plan and choose, how I scout and shoot.

What you’ll learn

First of all, during the photography lessons, you’ll learn about the safety, the right camera settings for certain conditions, composition basics, the efficient workflow and photography techniques. And, of course, landscape photography specifics. Every workshop available is unique and packed with information that will help you progress along your photographic journey.

Skill Level Requirements

All workshops are different – some of them are for the very beginners, some for the moderate camera users and several are for those who have an experience shooting landscapes. Therefore, please read the descriptions carefully and choose what’s best for your level. Also, you could just drop me a line and we’ll sort it out.

Fitness Level Requirements

All locations are easy-to-medium difficulty and the whole workshop and therefore we can easily adjust the whole workshop to the fitness level of the group. We will never go to the dangerous or hard locations (I know a few).

What we’ll do

Agenda and our activity are based on the workshop selection. Again, please read the description on each workshop. During the lessons, we are always out and about. If we need to talk through the questions or the theory, we’ll find some cozy place to practice the knowledge right away. Otherwise, I’ll show you how to research the area, how to find spots, what to pay attention to. Finally, we’ll go through the whole workflow together.

Timing

There are four options for the workshops:

  1. Sunrise workshop starts 1h before sunrise and finishes 1h after it.
  2. Sunset workshop starts 1h before sunset and finishes 1h after it.
  3. Daylight workshop starts at the selected time and finishes also during the daylight hours. These workshops are for beginners.
  4. Night hours workshop starts 2-3 hours before midnight and finishes 11 pm-midnight depending on the season. This one is for the astrophotography.

What I’ll provide

Of course, if you live somewhere not too far away, I can pick you up. However, the return trip to your place is typically not offered.

    Testimonials: Photography Courses Gold Coast

    Sharron – 3 March 2018
A very enjoyable morning with Anton, I learned a lot more about taking photos in low light and the composition of landscapes.

Excellent tips, experienced guy, he explains to you in your “experience level”. If you just got your camera or you have some knowledge about photography its worth it. He took us to a great spot, and he explained everything, reviewed your photos and gave us really good tips, explaining since how to shoot, where to focus, what lines to follow (in the background). Afterwards, he checked our photos and then, when we were almost finished we had coffee in a local coffee shop reviewing the photos. And he told us which ones were good or bad and why, how we could make it better and some tips about photoshop. I wish I had more time to spend with him doing landscape photography! Totally recommended.

You can expect the most expert advice and utmost attention. I was able to get amazing shots while understanding my camera in a new way. I’ve been rusty for a few years, but was able to get back into the swing easily enough with all the helpful advice. Truly breathtaking.

    Carolyne – 7 January 2018
The pre-session communication, the pick up was as arranged, the actual sunrise photography session at the beautiful Maroubra beach and the after session feedback were all fantastic. Anton is very thorough to make sure you are safe before starting, and he was very helpful to get me to make the most out of my camera and the session and I learned a lot. Also, his feedback at the end was really useful, as are his takeaway tip sheets. Anton also really kindly dropped me at the train station to make sure I was allowed to get back ok. Therefore, highly recommended!

I had a blast – a private tour with Anton on a beautiful morning. Pick up was right on time – exactly on the minute, we agreed upon beforehand in our exchange. Anton is a very amicable and insightful gentleman, has a lot of good things to talk about besides photography. Also, the location he picked was beautiful and he could even give me as a semi-pro some very useful tips on photographing seascapes.

Anton is a very knowledgeable instructor, ensured we were safe before taking photos. We caught the first light of 2018 and had a crash course of shutter speeds and aperture settings. He also showed us the different elements of the ocean to capture. Would recommend to friends!

    Damien – 24 December 2017
Hi Anton, many thanks for an informative and comprehensive session. The session was pitched at the right level and you took the time to ask the right questions. Also, the session was not rushed and your timing due to the light and the types of pictures we were taking flowed evenly. Hence, I was able to carry away information that will be invaluable for the future. I would recommend Anton to other photographers wishing to learn a greater skill set. Anton was punctual, respectful and engaging as well. All in all, I will be returning for future lessons when in Sydney. Many Thanks – my family can see the difference in my photos already.
