St Joseph’s Retreat Centre
One of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart retreat centres located in Sydney, Baulkham Hills. There are many retreats centres in NSW but not all of them are religion-related. It was an unusual experience to photograph a place like this.Â
The centre hired me as their real estate photographer and I did all the photos for them including real estate, food, aerials and group portraits. I’m publishing a portion of the photos as a bunch of galleries here. It’s been a pleasure working with them and creating the photos.
About the Centre
St Joseph’s Retreat Centre is an accommodation, conference and retreat Centre founded as part of the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph. This retreat centre is quite modern and well-equipped. The conference rooms have all the facilities and lighting and are also reasonably ample.
The retreat centre is located on 5.6 hectares of the green hills not far from the Norwest Business Centre. It’s about 40 minutes from Sydney CBD and the drive could be quite challenging during the peak hours. It seems like a great place for the corporate conferences, group events, spiritual retreats or just a regular accommodation.

Outdoors
The outdoors area is large and spacious. There are a few walking tracks, a swimming pool and a labyrinth for the outdoor activities.

Aerial
As you can see, the centre is large and these photos show the size and the natural vibe of the area.

Bedrooms
Bedrooms are clean and reasonably sized. Each bedroom has a Bible and all amenities like a good reputable hotel has to offer.

Chapels
Numerous chapels offer a space for the spiritual retreat.

Lounge and Dining
There are also a few lounge and dining areas which are also clean and tidy and one could enjoy the meal or read a book without being interrupted all the time.

Food
All in all, the centre and the staff made a good impression and I recommend St Joseph’s Retreat Centre for all the aforementioned activities and just for a pleasant stay.
